    America Deserves
    A Raise

Advance America asked Americans to share their stories of people they knew who deserved a raise – a $40,000 raise. We received more than 5,000 stories telling us about the hard work of husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, co-workers and bosses, sons and daughters, neighbors and friends.

Thousands of visitors to this site ranked these stories, narrowing the entries down to a list of the top 100 from which our judges selected the winner of the $40,000 raise and the $5,000 bonus.

With your help, America Deserves A Raise donated $50,000 to United Way of the Piedmont and Spartanburg Soup Kitchen. Thanks for all your votes. Read More about the charities.

Whether you’re seeking the money that allows you to bridge a gap before payday or the Visa® and MoneyGram® services that make it easier to manage your money, we’re there for you when you need us.

America Deserves A Raise has been another way for Advance America to say we understand what you’re going through. We know that even though everyone’s working harder these days, fewer of us are getting raises. And while Advance America can’t give everyone a raise, we can still be here for all the Americans out there who deserve one.

We’re also here for you with the money you need.
