America Deserves A Raise

Congratulations to our Grand
Prize and Runner-Up stories.

Where's my wife

Nominee: Debra K.

When I walk in the door after a hard day of work, I am almost always asking myself, “Where is my wife?”  You see she is always doing something to make my life easier whether it is mowing the lawn, taking out the trash, doing paperwork for my business, doing fixit stuff around our homes (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, renovating, improving, landscaping, etc…) or doing the everyday stuff that makes a home.  She also volunteers her time buying and cooking meals for the less fortunate and cooks dinners for my Gideons group, donating food for the food pantry at our church and donating her time at church whenever time permits.  She also donates clothing, shoes, school supplies, household stuff, gracious greeting cards (veterans, soldiers, firefighters, paramedics, nurses, doctors, etc…) and numerous items that can help others.  Her nicknames are Bruno and Precious.  She can work as hard as a man does and be as beautiful as any woman is.  She makes my world complete and I rely on her more than anyone (except God).  She performs all these duties without making a penny and she doesn’t want paid.  She does these things out of the goodness of her heart and hopes people will someday turn back to this way of helping people that are less fortunate than themselves.  It’s not whether she deserves a raise or not, but that she would love to contribute to the community even more to help all the economy stricken people live their lives a little easier.  I would love to give my wife a raise.
