From 9-5 to Mr. Mom

My husband is so deserving. Last January he became unemployed. After a short while it became evident that it jobs in his field were few and far between. I took a job working part time but it was on-call erratic hours. A few months later my husband found employment out of state. He moved away, sleeping on an air mattress until we could join him, so that he could provide for us and I quit my job to join him. Unfortunately, 7 weeks later, he found himself unemployed again. Now we were both out of work. Fortunately for me I was able to obtain my previous position but things have been much harder for my husband. Although he is a graduate level educated professional there is not much out there in this economy. Needless to say my husband has transitioned pretty well from someone that works full time to someone that stays at home and watches the kids.The kids love having dad at home. Although I know that he would rather be working and staying home is very different from what he has done for the past 15+ years I have to say that he manages our home very well. For that I am eternally grateful.
