America Deserves A Raise

Please vote for my friend if you have ever been a single mom or care-giver or an organ donor or a veteran or a grandmother or a volunteer, because, , ,
    I have a friend that truly deserves a raise if anyone does.  Her name is Joy and her name suits her well.  Joy has been a single mom for 18 years.  Joy works full time for a hospital in the organ transplant department laboratory for organ donation and she is usually the one who volunteers to work overtime and on the holidays to make ends meet. 
      She believes in her work so much that she has personally designated herself as an organ donor and also recruited her 23 year old daughter as a donor.  Speaking of Joy’s daughter, both Joy’s daughter and her 3 year old grand-daughter live with Joy, while her daughter attends college.  Joy has taken on the added responsibility of being her grand-daughter’s legal guardian so that she can provide both of them with health insurance coverage. 
    Since Joy is the sole bread winner of her little household and even after Joy was involved in a car accident 18 months ago that totaled her vehicle; she still continued to work with her injuries only taking off 2 days even though she was given a doctors excuse for 12 days.  Then after 3 months of physical therapy, it was realized that Joy’s foot was actually broken in 3 places from the accident.
    Joy commits numerous hours of community service with a non profit organization that raises awareness and funds for homeless veterans in which she helped coordinate with her brother who is a Navy vet. 
    When Joy is not working or volunteering, she goes by her sickly PePaw’s house on a regular basis to check on him, does dishes, house cleaning, sweep or vacuum and to run errands to the pharmacy and buy his groceries and cooks his dinner. 
    Due to the “economy” and circumstances beyond her control, Joy has not received a raise in several years.  So in order to qualify for a raise, she has started taking on-line college courses and has maintained an A average. 
    This in only a part of what Joy does and I could go on and on but I think you can see that Joy is a down-to-earth angel for many people who don’t even know she exists.  But now you do, so please vote for her to get a raise because I can’t think of a more deserving person.  Thank you!
