America Deserves A Raise

Congratulations to our Grand
Prize and Runner-Up stories.

the one and only

Nominee: Justin C.

Justin is a very hard working man, and my husband of 5 plus years.  He and I are raising his 16 yr old niece, my 15 yr old son & 14 yr old daughter, as well as our own 5 yr old daughter.  Last year, we found out to keep his job he needed to take a pay cut.  He was forced to also take a further pay cut if he had over a 30 hour work week.  So now if he works 40 hours he actually earns less than if he works 30 hours.  It’s hard to believe, but to keep a job is all that we want.  FOUR KIDS…do I need to say more?  At his job, things have picked up and he is hoping that this cut back will eventually stop and the old payrate will return, but they say that “you’ll have to earn it back”.  Now he’s off for a few weeks due to a broken hand (done at home) so no money is coming in until he can heal.  I seriously hope that this time off work will let his company know that his skill is seriously missed and that he is the only one that can do the things he can do.  He seriously deserves a raise not only for the real work he does at his job, but for all the wonderful things he does to raise 3 children that are not his. (but you would never know)  He treats every child like they are his own and truly cares that they succeed in life.  We are blessed with him in our lives.  Please pick him to recieve this wonderful gift of a “raise” from your company.  He is a one and only!
