My Frazzled Mom

My mother is a nurse manager at our area VA Hospital. Since the economy has left no one untouched, she is no exception. She has been unable to do sufficient hiring for her ward and is required to fill in when any shift is understaffed. This means that she is called into work at all hours of the day or night, whether she has already worked her shift that day or not. She works in a business that prides itself on taking care of this countries veterans, but it has been difficult for her to take care of herself. My sister was recently laid-off and moved back home and my father is self-employed. She has become the primary means of financial support for the family. She has sacrificed so much for us all and deserves something in return. I have no idea what she would do if she won the money. I do know, however, that she deserves it more than any other person I know.
