America Deserves A Raise

If anyone deserves a 40k raise it would definately be my wife of 30yrs, Angel Robbins. For 30yrs she has given selflessly to both myself and our 10 children. For 23yrs of our marraige, Angel has worked 2 jobs consistantly and for 2 of those years she worked 3 jobs. Starting at 2:00am to deliver the local newspaper ending her shift at 6:00am. Then at 6:30am to 5:30pm she worked her in home daycare, watching as many as 15 children at a time, and from 6:00pm to 11:00pm she worked at a customer service call center. During this time my wife has never complained. When I expressed my concerns about the hours she worked, she would merely say, “It is our obligation to provide for our children giving to them the best of our abilities and to make sure they have a good education.“She would tell me not to worry, that her strength comes from what she is doing for our family. Over the years, Angel has also cared for several of the neighborhood children, opening up our home for anyone in need. When our children expressed a desire to start earning money of their own, Angel helped them get a paper route, which required delivery 7 days a week. Everyday while working her daycare Angel helped our children prepare the papers for delivery. On Sat & Sun when the papers were required to be delivered by 7am, she got up at 5am and helped deliver the papers right up until the time she delivered our 10th child. In 2004, after decades of working 2 jobs, Angel felt we had finally reached the point where she could just work 1 job. After 23 years she was finally working a normal work day in her daycare. She loved working with the children and incorporated many activities for the children in her care. It would be short lived though for shortly thereafter in Jan 2005 sadly we lost our home to a fire. Having no place to move the daycare, Angel was forced to give it up and began working 2 jobs again. Although devasted she never complained. She said we will do what we need to do to get through this. Angel has definately been the backbone in our family and the wind under my wings. Through her work efforts we have now put 3 children through college and currently have 3 enrolled. I contribute this to Angels willingness to give unselfishlessly of herself not only to her family but also those in need. Over the years Angel has “NEVER” asked for anything for herself. She has always been content doing for others, and relishes in their success. For once I would like to give Angel a chance to do something for hersef and this 40k raise would definately help her do that.  Thank you for your Consideration
