America Deserves A Raise

I titled this simply because no matter the result of this essay, my mother deserves to be recognized. She moved here from Pennsylvania when I was 2 1/2. When she found a job here she decided she would work nights as a registered nurse and leave the days to us three kids. Being a single mother of three was not easy, and at times highly exhausting. My mother LITERALLY slept for 2 hours every day for years until I was old enough to go to school. She nursed the sick back to health at night and nursed her children to become successful adults during the day. She was denied for every assistance under the sun due to her job, and had to find a way every day to make ends meet. To this day it is still difficult for her to decide to do something for herself, and if I could make it happen for her I would in a heart beat! I always promised her if I win the lottery I will pay off your debt before I purchase something for myself, and when you get old you will live with me instead of a nursing home. I promised my mom the world, and hope to someday fulfill my promise. Cleary on my income this is hard, but Im sure with the nation backing me, I can make this happen for her. Someone out there…someone help me show my mother that shes more than a mother of three, shes a warrior, and a superhero…she’s my hero, and she deserves a raise!
